Author-Editor Conflict on 10.1371/journal.pone.0299881
UPDATE [2024-07-18]: Recently, the 5GH team received an e-mail from PLoS, stating that this article was retracted due the conflict of interest, and the issue about the ethic approval. The 5GH team appreciate the effort made by the PLoS team to this matter.
Here, we would like to report about the Author-Editor Conflict in a paper [1]:
Title: Epidemiological insights into paratuberculosis in camels in Saudi Arabia: Bayesian estimation of true prevalence and identification of risk factors
Authors: A. Al Naeem, M. Salem, F. Housawi, K. Al-Mohammed Salem, J. Hussen, M. Fayez, A. Zaghawa, P. Kostoulas
Editor: A. K. M. Anisur Rahman
DOI: 10.1371/journal.pone.0299881
The editor (Rahman) and one of the authors (Kostoulas) co-authored in 3 papers (2 in PLoS ONE) [2-4] during 2019 and 2024, suggesting the editorship of Rahman was against the policy of PLoS ONE.
