Abnormal Publication Records of an Author Group from Southwest University
A recent investigation reveals abnormal publication records of an author group from the Southwest University. TAN Qinyi (谭亲毅) is one of the core authors among this authorship network. Another key author is TENG Luyan.
From 2021, this author group has published 26 journal articles. According to the titles of these articles, 17 of them employed Baidu Index or Google Trends data to analyze public interest in various topics, such as sleep disorders during the COVID-19 pandemic (article [1]) and interest in master of physical education (article [2]). These articles share similar structural patterns and were published within a relatively short time frame from 2021 to 2025, suggesting they were produced in a mass "assembly-line" fashion.
Notably, among those 17 articles, 11 were published in journals from the publisher Akademicka Platforma Czasopism. And some of these articles fell outside the scope of the respective journals, suggesting that this publisher was specifically targeted.
